WHAT IS THE PETANQUE
Petanque is the French word for Petanque,
It is a game in which the winner is the one who manages to put at a regular distance his metal ball closer to one of the smallest of Wood.
In Mexico it could be compared to hopscotch, in which a coin was placed closer to a line.
Here in Petanque the distance is measured in distance to a central point.
The game as played today comes from Spain at the beginning of 1900, but there are data that the Romans played a primitive version of it with stones.
Petanque can be played on any surface, although if it has fewer stones and irregular textures it is better. The approximate size of the rectangular playing area is 4 x 12 meters. Flat and clayey surfaces are preferred by the most professionals.
The balls used in the game are Metallic and the goal must be made of wood or some synthetic material.
Each metallic ball has an engraving that helps distinguish it from that of the opponents.
