Ukulele helps you meditate and stay calm.

HOW IS THIS 2020 WHEN THE WORLD FACES THE CORONAVIRUS OR COVID-19?

Regards!
My name is Abraham Vidal González.
With joy I send the text and the photos to participate in the dynamics that they have published today on facebook.
I thank you very much and I am glad to be part of this.
Hug from a distance.
Abraham.

It was the Shaolin monks who taught me to meditate, when I took kung-fu and tai chi in the temple they opened there, in Acoxpa

"Meditating," Master told us, "is not leaving your mind blank, or levitating, or even standing still and impassive. Meditating is learning to be here, now. Here and now.

And in truth, one would like to be here, now. That easy. But here and now there is a reality that is difficult to face from the point of view of the observer, from the point of view of the one who meditates ... At a distance.

So, after so many days of confinement, in an improvised and urban monastery, I begin to understand what the monks have wanted to say. Actually, meditation is in movement. But not in the one there, outside, but in the one here, inside, in the center, where one must take the mind: To the beat of the breath; the whole body vibration.

Rhythm.

Cioran said it before me: I hear life, that's where all the revelations come from.

The first thing I think about, then, is putting on the headphones, lying on the bed and relaxing. I go from Ohta-San, and his interpretations of Bach in ukulele, to the follies of Roy Smeck and his most brilliant student: George Elmes. Going through countless tutorials, performances and covers that YouTube lets me access.

But it's not enough. It is not enough and I will not rest until I feel that vibration in my stomach. Stuck to my chest ...

And it is at last, at last, that joy returns, because I do not even have to leave these four walls: There, by the window, it is hanging.

Is it thanks to the gringo tutorials that I look for this first: G, C, E, A?

That sound alone is enough, this set of vibrations and finally I am here, now. Here and now I let my fingers navigate; I let the sun flow between the strings, I let the rhythm follow a single path: It is born in my brain, it filters through the holes of my heart, it descends towards my chest and it drains to my fingers and, there, there becomes music . It tightens, it holds, about to break and it plays, it jumps, it shines, it shines, it strikes and from one string to another it forms a chord, a set of notes that only I, enclosed in these four walls, can understand ...

Away from everyone…

I am glad.
