SUSTAINED AND BEMOLES UNDERSTAND THEM EASILY

Hi Ukulelists, how are you?
A moment ago I was reading comments and a boy commented that it was difficult for him to understand the sharps and asked us how he could support himself to consult them, so today we will talk about them!

You have not wondered Why when we make a chord and move it changes its sound and also its name?

In music there are 3 types of notes, to explain it we will make an example:

This is the "SOL" note, not the "SOL" chord

If we lower it a fret becomes a "SOL #"

This is what we mean when we say that "we increase half tone"

And if we lower another fret we would be creating a complete note so it would no longer be "SOL" if not a "LA" (taking into account the order of the musical notes)

But what happens if we lower it instead of increasing the tone? What does it become?

If instead of going through a fret forward and we do it backwards (towards the brow of our ukulele), this becomes a flat, because that note is being removed half a tone.

And as in the Sustain if we return another half tone this becomes a full tone.

EXCEPTIONS!

That's right friends, there are exceptions that do not follow this rule at all, as is the case with these notes, but it will be very easy to understand with this table.

  • MI and SI do not have sustained "#"

  • DO and FA do not have flat "b"

I hope this blog helped you to understand a little more about the musical notes, the truth is that I learned a lot while researching to write it. Remember that if you have any suggestions or questions you can send us a message to our social networks and we can gladly help you or we can improve this blog.

Remember that sharing everything is better.
