Tips to learn faster l Part II

Learn faster to play the ukulele.

During these blogs we have tried to talk about how we can improve our learning time, make the most of our practice time and see positive results in a shorter period of time.

You can check the previous blog here.

Practice as much as you can

Although this point seems to be so obvious that it would not be necessary to mention it but the practice is as important or even more so than taking classes.

Taking classes gives you knowledge that you did not have or clarifies things that you had not understood until that moment but practice is the process by which we master the skills and knowledge necessary to take possession of knowledge.

Constant practice will help you to know by heart the practical knowledge that you are looking for immediate access when you are doing an activity.
Therefore, the practice process must be conscious and honest, that is, you must dedicate time and concentration to the task you want to learn, you cannot say that you are practicing while doing two other things at the same time and answering messages on your cell phone.

Another way in which your practice can be honest is to repeat the skill that you want to learn as many times as you can but stop each time you make a mistake, in this way we raise awareness of the mistakes and the source of them to later be aware of it and thus keep the minimum errors

Sometimes we think that in order to learn something we must devote whole hours and days to this activity, but in this world it is very difficult for someone to really dedicate all this time since we have work, school or responsibilities.

But there is another proven method that is equally useful, this is to mentally repeat the action to learn even when we can not do the physical work the brain is exercised to develop that skill and is as useful as it really is.

So the next time you are away from your ukulele or trapped in traffic or have downtime at school imagine playing that song you want to learn and you will be surprised at the results.

Remember that every practice you are building on your person the future musician you want to be, and although the practice might seem annoying and repetitive, the best in the world have already dedicated years of their lives to practice.
