The Great Ukulele Adventure

The Great Ukulele Adventure

That day we decided to make the investment in that little cute guitar called Ukulele

along with our already painful purchase (painful for the expensive) of a Paddle Board, the surfboard on which you stand and paddle on a lake or on the beach. We never thought we were at the beginning of something so big and energetic.

It was instantaneous, getting home and tuning them with the tuning device was just as intuitive as an iphone, we just put it on and we tried only to ensure which was the 1 string or which was the 4 string to then wait for each string to sonar turns on the tuner's screen green, a sign that this was the perfect tension.

From that step, and to make a strum in the ukulele like any strum, that is, to pass the tip of your fingers from top to bottom touching each of the strings already threw a beautiful sound. And if perhaps apart from how beautiful they are in sight the base sound is also equally attractive in the ukulele.

The next thing in my logical mind was to go to YouTube to look for the song Over the Rainbow by IZ, perhaps because it was the first song that came to mind in which someone used this instrument or maybe also because of the joy of the song.

It was almost instantaneous to find a video with a perfect explanation, first in the Ukulele Underground video he explains the strumming for a few seconds. Obviously it was not magic, we had to find minutes, maybe a couple of hours to follow the pattern perfectly and then start playing with the first 4 notes, which to our surprise are used in many other songs.

And so it was the beginning ... buy a ukulele of a beautiful brand like Kala to decide to add it to our already well-known work of promoting games and items that are not very promoted but with a positive impact on society, such as Juggling.

But how were we to know that so many people were going to feel the same as us?

The Ukuleleria has been a perfect example of community, as if the joyful sound of the instrument is spread with every person who buys, wants, uses one. We have been sharing with many participatory people, a like or a sharing seems very obvious when they talk to you about a Ukulele or a ukulele melody.

So maybe several wise men are right, the ukulele can be a tool of Peace.

Just thinking that our work can have Peace as a consequence, makes us feel with a great responsibility, everything that generates peace should be made great! huge! It should reach every corner of the planet because we need it more than ever.

So if you read here, I want to thank you for being part of the ukuleleria, part of this effort to promote the good (not the coca) the really good.

By promoting music as a way of communicating, the instrument as a challenge that allows us to understand that everything can be learned with will, that technology is a tool that can change the life of anyone well used in the case of tutorial videos Free online to learn.

Thank you ! and live the ukuleles!

Music is an instrument of peace. Yes. And it is simpler with an instrument as intimate as our little ones. I am a music teacher in a private school and at the UNAM School of Music, and I think that a good option to enrich ourselves as musicians and foster the love of our passion in students is through this little one.
Thanks to the Ukuleleria team especially Alan for receiving not only me, but dozens of students who have gone with you willing to fall in love with life via Ukulele.
