Aloha Ukulelistas friends!
Today we want to share this tip, which I discovered inadvertently while cleaning the house, now I have looked for how safe it is and you are going to love doing it.
I have a ukulele with more than 6 years (ukulele soprano Kala) who has been through everything (well kept clear)But after the use and travel, I started to see it darker, grittier and dull on the wood.
so I got down to work and wanted to make it beautiful again.I leave you here some simple steps that I did for cleaning, sooo superficial because it did not encourage me to remove the strings, but I recommend that after a long time you do it and if you need, you will have to release new strings.
1. Buy a special microfiber cloth, one of those super soft ones, and use it especially for my ukulele. You can moisten it very little and remove dust. (This you can do often, after touching it and thus there are no finger spots) 2. For the difficult parts, where the strings are, you can extend it and pass it gently.
3. To finish you can give it shine with a special furniture oil, I met this one thanks to my mom who used it at home. I have used 2, both are red only of a different brand and you can find it at waltmart or any supermarket.
In another cloth of the same soft cloth, dry use 4 drops of this oil and clean your ukulele.
