How to make your own cover and not die trying

Hey, Ukulelists!
Today I woke up very inspired, thinking about all the great and incredible things that we can achieve when versioning some of our favorite songs.
Has it happened to them that they really want to get a song, but they don't know how to play it?
I remember that when I was just beginning to play, I was very frustrated because there were songs that fascinated me and I was dying to play them on my guitar or ukulele, but it seemed impossible to play them because if it was not that their original instrument was heard super weird and I did not like the Everything as it sounded.
One of the things that frustrated me the most were the arpeggios: generally when there was a song that I liked a lot on guitar and I wanted to transport it to the Ukulele, it cost me a lot of work because they had a very complicated arpeggio for me and I didn't know how to make it sound good.
But then I started taking a risk, every time I wanted to play a song with arpeggio and / or, in some other instrument, the first thing I did was investigate the chords.
Once I had the chords then I played the song and I tried to keep up with my Uku.
At first it sounded very ugly, because what I tried was to find the strum and the rhythm that would be perfect. I started with a strum, I didn't like it at all, I put the song "play" again and tried with another, and with another, and with another, until I found the perfect rhythm.
And ready! Surprisingly I had my own Uku version of some song that I liked very much.
Once I had my Uku version of the song I wanted to cover ready, the next thing was to adjust it to my voice. The easiest option was to use bonnet, but sometimes it took me the job of changing the chords to use the ones that best fit my voice type.
Then the magic began; I played and sang it and in the process I was adding some extra things, humming, variations in some chords, etc.
And Voilä! What started as an ordeal ended up becoming something wonderful because I felt that making a cover was like making the song mine ...
So I invite you to do it too, version as many songs as you want and make them yours again and again.
