What's up Ukuleleria friends!
A few days ago I uploaded a song from a cartoon that I quite like on Instagram which needs capo chords, so I wonder how a capo is made or just that it was too difficult for them to start doing it.
As you know a capo is a kind of "clamp" that is made up of our index finger and our thumb, one behind the neck and the other on the strings, this "technique" is used to step on more than one string at a time and thus achieve different chords with chord-like treads we already know
As something impossible was done, I decided to explain some tips that worked for me when I just started making eyebrows and I decided to write this blog ...
It is super important to clarify that your fingers do not go completely straight perfectly aligned to the closest fret, if you look at "the anatomy" of your fingers the front part of your fingers is more "Padded" or softer so if you try to do your capo with this part of your finger that will apply much more force and will become more tired
I recommend that you rotate your fingers a little so that you can apply the force of the sides of your fingers where it is already more rigid.
This blog doesn't just apply to ukuleles! you can also use the capos on guitar and the same tips are used!
By positioning your thumb behind it also becomes vital for this technique since it is important to know where to apply force, if we apply force too low or too high on our neck it will probably become difficult since as we know our neck is curved and our thumb It could slip, so make sure that the force is applied to just half the width of the mast! there it is easier to apply force with less effort to achieve a good capo
Finally I think it is the most important point!
Do not lose your cool, the eyebrows are achieved by practice and nothing else! These sure tips will help you but you must put them into practice constantly and you will see that it will be a piece of cake very soon, look for some exercises, I recommend you make eyebrows along the entire mast passing through all the frets or some of them! It also starts with easy songs or glasses or they can have only one or two chords with capos, the point is to carry them out!
