Now Internet is everyone's learning medium, just have a computer, a smartphone and you can access thousands of resources online. Some are paid and others they are free. With this small section in the great world of cyberspace, we intend to teach music to those who are starting out and do not want or cannot attend a music school. Clear! Taking the rhythm as a starting point.
Let's start with some basic concepts:
Sounds: It is the result of a sound body, this is what our ears can catch
Height: Quality that makes us distinguish a serious sound from a high-pitched sound, I entered more number of vibrations the sound will be sharp and between less number of vibrations the sound will be serious.
Music: Is the art and science of the sounds
Well, it is important to be clear about the concepts since they are basis of dialogue between musicians. Now let's unravel the rhythmic world.
Music is an art that develops through a timeline and to organize it, This line is divided into units called pulses or beats that mark time in a way constant and regular. In other words, the time between one pulse will be the same and therefore they are called Time Units.
The organization of these pulses or units of time in music are represented by the beat. The measure is the grouping of a certain number of pulses It is repeated throughout a piece of music. A compass can have 2, 3, 4 etc .. pulses of which the first pulse is preponderant (with more force) producing the feeling that the pattern is repeating itself.
Pulse or Beat: Regular and constant unit in which real time is divided to organize music.
Compass: The grouping of a certain number of pulses (of which the first is preponderant) that is repeated throughout a piece of music.
Melody: It's a succession of different sounds Height.
The pulses to be a constant and repetitive feeling we can perceive them through their internal accents, this is regular to a certain number of pulses.
Let's see Three types of pulses.
In turn these compass divisions have simple and compound subdivisions. Simple subdivisions are binary 2, 4, 8 etc. and the composite subdivisions are ternary 3, 6, 12 etc.
To finish this first part we will define what is the Tempo and the Click
The speed or frequency with which the pulses pass is called Time and indicated in beats per minute (bpm) which are the number of pulses that we will put in a minute. If each pulse is equal to the duration of a second it is indicated like this: 60bpm, if we want double the tempo it will be marked as 120bpm, this means that there will be 120 pulses in a minute. The tempo will mark the speed at which a musical piece should be performed.
To mark the tempo a device called metronome which will auditively provide us with the pulses at a specific tempo. The sound with which the pulse marks the metronome is called click.
Time: Speed or frequency with which the pulses pass, measured in beats per minute (bpm)
click: Acoustic reference, equivalent to the pulse, provided by a metronome or similar.
