A vital part for our Ukulele are the strings, they make sure that our Ukulele sounds and gives us the notes that we want to get to be able to sing our favorite songs, that is why they are something fundamental and that we must always have in the best possible state without exceed their life span and well tuned.
First we have to know that each string has its name, in the case of Sopranos, Concerts and Tenors the tuning is the same, therefore the strings have the same name, which is given by the sound they are going to give us. Counting from top to bottom, our strings with G (G), C (Do), E (Mi) and A (A).
Tuning them is very simple, each string goes to a peg on the head of the arm, the first peg is for G, the second is for C, the peg below C is the one for E and the last peg is A. Now you only have than to tighten the strings or loosen them depending on what the tuner asks you. To the left we tighten and to the right we loosen. It is very easy, I recommend that every time you move the peg, you touch the string, so you will know if you are tightening or loosening. We recommend purchasing a tuner or using an app to tune, don't forget it's for Ukulele.
The strings are the part of our Ukulele that is most in wear, although it may not seem like it, our strings are getting old, and we can notice it when our Uke starts to go out of tune very constantly. In Ukuleleria we recommend changing the strings every 2 months approximately, which is the useful time of them if you are constantly practicing.
