Sometimes we may notice that our ukulele has some strange sound or vibrates in some way different from the great melody that we are used to; Here we will describe some of the most common problems to solve these problems.
Although it may seem like something that we always keep in mind, it is advisable before each practice session, song or big concert to check the tuning of our ukulele to avoid any different tone in our harmonies.
Although strings with prolonged use do not always generate bad sounds if we can avoid an accident when the string breaks and hit us.
This problem is closely related to the first two, if your strings are new it will be common for them to go out of tune quickly since they are still stretching and that modifies the sound; this situation will last for at least a couple of days, try to check the tuning regularly the first week after a string change.
Although we do not realize some occasions small objects or animals can enter the resonance box of our ukulele, we can know if our ukulele has something by shaking it a little and being attentive to the sounds inside the ukulele (remember that if your ukulele is electroacoustic it will have some internal cables).
Sometimes the mechanisms with which we adjust the strings can reach the end of their life and thus detune our ukulele quickly or in more extreme cases not maintain tension; In any of these cases, it is best to change the damaged mechanism.
